Here at jades happy hounds dog sitting your dogs welfare and happiness is our top priority, we make sure your dog has all the love and attention, walks and exercise it needs throughout their stay. we recognise that all dogs have their own individual personalities and needs, Therefore a meet and greet is arranged before any bookings go ahead so we can find out as much information as possible about your dog ensuring we can provide them with the best possible love and care they need.

DAY CARE AND BOARDING EXPERIENCE.
How dogs experience their stay with us is very important, we want your dog to feel comfortable and happy during their stay, so your dog will have a routine schedule throughout the day including a outdoor walk if you wish, enrichment and play sessions in our secure garden and one to one attention to make them feel at home. All dogs will have a grooming session ie brush down and bathed if needed making sure they are clean and happy. We only board 4 dogs at any given time to ensure your dog gets the one on one attention it needs.
DAY CARE AND BOARDING REQUIREMENTS.
All dogs attending day care or boarding for overnight stays must go through and pass an assessment, this is a day where your dog will be left for 2-3 hours with us to be assessed. all dogs must be fully vaccinated and upon assessment dog owners must present their dogs vaccination records. Your dog should have also been wormed and had a flea treatment two weeks prior to their stay and assessment. All male dogs must be neutered and female dogs must not be in season or due to come into season. Dog owners must provide enough food for their dogs stay. when boarding your dog with us all necessary paperwork and contracts are to be filled in and signed by the dog owner along with ourselves, this is to ensure that all guidelines have been met, we will go through all necessary paperwork together after your dog has been through an assessment and accepted into our day care.
The Garden...
All dogs will have all day access to our secure garden where they will have enrichment toys and play sessions during the day, dogs will have potty breaks throughout the day as they have continuous access to the garden, we also have a big park behind our garden where dogs can be walked for exercise and stimulation if dog owners give consent to do so.
DOG INFORMATION
Dogs are the most popular pet on the planet, they evolved from a now-extinct species of wolf, their sense of smell is at least 40x better then humans, some have such a powerful sense of smell they can sniff out medical problems. Dogs can learn over 100 words and gestures and because they are so good at this they work as assistance dogs helping us and helping the many people in need. Their are about 400 million dogs in the world, their are hundreds of breeds of dogs. The average dog lives 10 to 14 years, in general smaller breeds live longer then larger breeds. The worlds oldest breed, the saluki, originated in Egypt around 329 B.C. Their have been studies that show dogs were domesticated between 9,000 and 34,000 years ago, this goes to show you that dogs are really mans best friend and their is so much as humans we are still learning about our furry friends every single day.

In the unlikely unfortunate event that your dog requires a vet we are registered to a Medi vet in Hendon that operates 24 hours a day that is local to us and we are also registered to well pets in Edgeware for any emergencies that should occur. should a dog need veterinary treatment we will always try to make contact with the owner first, if the owner cannot be reached we will contact the vet for assistance and advice regarding your dog as your dogs welfare is our top priority.

Dog Behaviour
All dogs take time to adjust and settle into their new surroundings, how they behave is very telling and if for any reason your dog does not appear to be settling or becomes distressed we will inform you and discuss what are the next best options for your dog.
Dogs being away from home.
We are always prepared to give your dog the best experience in being away from home and away from their owner who they love so much, so we do our best in making your dog feel at home by giving them all the love and attention they need as not to make them feel like they have been left but to make them feel like this is a fun place where they get extra love, care, attention and have lots and lots of fun. we also want the dog owner to feel happy and comfortable leaving their dog in our care and that is why we want to get to know you the dog owner just as much as we want to get to know your dog. We want your dog to be excited to come and spend the day or night in our home, we want your dog to have fun with their dog pals that they get to meet along the way and we want to encourage this to be a positive experience so that when you go away you know that your dog is happy to be left and will enjoy his/her doggie day care adventures. Every time a dog leaves our care we want them to feel like they cannot wait to come back for some more doggie day care fun.
